Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by patting the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture, ensuring a nice sear. Rub each fillet generously with olive oil, then coat with a liberal amount of Cajun seasoning and a sprinkle of salt.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes. Carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets skin-side up in the skillet and sear for 3 minutes.
- Gently flip the fillets over to cook skin-side down, and let cook for an additional 2 minutes; the skin should be crispy and golden.
- In a small saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat for around 2 minutes. Stir in 3 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 2 cloves of minced garlic. Let this mixture simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Pour the warm honey butter sauce over the seared salmon fillets in the skillet. Reduce the heat to low and let the salmon cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
- Once the salmon is cooked through and beautifully glazed, remove the skillet from heat, and transfer to a serving platter garnished with fresh parsley, lemon wedges, and black sesame seeds.
