Preparation

  4. Whisk eggs, yolk, remaining sugar, and vanilla in another bowl until thick and pale.
  5. Gradually combine the warm butter mixture into the egg mixture, whisking continuously.
  6. Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients without overmixing.
  7. Gently fold in chocolate chips until just combined.
  8. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 28-30 minutes until edges are firm.
  9. Cool completely on a wire rack, lift out and slice into squares.
