Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, onion, and garlic. Add breadcrumbs, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until combined.
  3. Gently fold in Swiss cheese and crumbled bacon into the meat mixture.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased loaf pan, shaping the top evenly.
  5. Mix ketchup and brown sugar to create the glaze. Spread over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes, checking for doneness with a thermometer (should read 160°F / 71°C).
  7. Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
