- Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium heat at around 500°F.
- Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until it starts to render fat but is not fully crispy. Chop finely.
- In a mixing bowl, combine chopped bacon, ground beef, shredded cheddar, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions, shaping them into patties about ¾ inch thick with an indentation in the center.
- Grill the patties for approximately 6 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for an additional 6 minutes until they reach 160°F.
- Remove from grill, let them rest for a few minutes, then serve on toasted buns with desired toppings.
